In the Oil and Gas Sector, regulatory compliance comes often and in many forms. In the Rocky Mountain Region, compliance with environmental regulations can often have unique implications. As a regional leader, CGRS has the experience necessary to identify the sound environmental practices required for addressing all compliance issues while still maintaining the coveted Rocky Mountain lifestyle. From spill plans, waste management plans, site assessments to compliance inspections, CGRS will work to protect your interests.
Environmental Assessments
Phase I: Determine if the property you own or the property you plan to buy has any potential for environmental contamination. This is often required by banks for property transactions or refinancing of a property.
Phase II: If your Phase I indicates a potential source of environmental contamination CGRS will perform appropriate site investigation to determine if contamination exists on developed and undeveloped, industrial, commercial, and agricultural properties.
Soil Gas: Determine impacts of soil gas contamination, monitoring programs, vapor extraction performance evaluation, contamination source investigation and definition of contamination.
Site Development & Permitting
Well Pad Permitting: CGRS can assist in well pad permitting including pad construction, drilling, completion, production, and reclamation phases.
Produced Water Treatment: Engineers at CGRS are familiar with the industrial process required to treat Coal Bed Methane and Oil and Gas-produced waters. Produced water treatment solutions allow producers to recycle and reuse water rather than dispose of it. Recycling costs vary depending upon the desired water chemistry.

This technology gives energy producers the option for separation, treatment, and analysis of Offshore and Onshore produced water. The goal is to economically meet the discharge and re-injection requirements, as required by environmental laws. What’s more, our engineers explore new ideas and keep abreast of all laws that are issued concerning produced water.
APEN – Air Pollutant Emission Notice: CGRS will determine if the APEN requirement applies to you and assist in the permitting process as necessary. We also track when renewals are due and if modifications to the permit are needed based on applicable thresholds.
Fuel System Installation & Upgrades: Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies when upgrading or installing your fuel system. We will customize our approach based on the needs as dictated by project from a full set of drawings to a simple upgrade form submission.
