Construction News – November 2017

WELCOME

Here at CGRS, partnering with others to take steps in creating a better future is what drives us to do the work we do every day. We are proud to showcase a recent collaboration with the City of Fort Collins that will lay the groundwork for future improvements right here in our own community.

RECENT PROJECT: Design-build Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station for the City of Fort Collins.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

The system, designed to provide a maximum of 2,000scfm, includes:

  • (1) Ariel JGQ 250-hp compressor producing 1,260scfm
  • (1) dispenser with one transit hose and one light duty hose and future capability of adding a time-fill line.

The new fuel station will be a key part of fueling the city’s ever-growing CNG fleet, which currently includes 42 buses, 10 tandem trucks, 2 semi tractors and 6 pickups.

CGRS worked directly with City of Fort Collins personnel and equipment manufacturers to specify equipment that would not only meet the city’s current CNG requirements but also allow for future expansion. During the design process, CGRS collaborated extensively with the City to meet its budget, as well as to ensure that the system would be commissioned before the 2017-2018 snow season, requiring CNG-fueled snow plows. CGRS will also provide system maintenance at the site for its first year in operation.

Tracy Ochsner with the City of Fort Collins, said, “CGRS has been a great partner by helping us construct new Compressed Natural Gas fueling sites as well as assisting us in keeping our petroleum sites in compliance. They are definitely  leaders in the fuel construction and compliance industry.”
