California Enhanced Leak Detection
CGRS California Enhanced Leak Detection
CGRS crews are staged throughout the state to allow us to deliver timely efficient service for all our California customers that need Enhanced Leak Detection (ELD) for new construction, after installation and well proximity testing.
New construction ELD Testing is performed by CGRS technicians using our patented iota VaporTite™ system. This state-of-the-art test method allows us to test down to 0.005 gallons per hour (as vapor) in times as short as 10 minutes. This innovative testing method ensures a quality, leak free installation.
The State of California requires all sites within 1000 ft. of a drinking well to have Enhanced Leak Detection Certification. We offer a well proximity test using Tracer Tight® ELD. No one delivers this technology to the market as effectively as CGRS. One may find another company to perform your test cheaper, but by the time it’s all said and done, you’re money will go further with CGRS. For more information, visit our iota page or our Tracer Tight® ELD page.
CGRS California Division Services Include
Well Proximity ELD
We offer Enhanced Leak Detection (ELD) for sites within 1,000 feet of a public water well, as required by California law. The California State Water Resources Board requires this test for owners of underground storage tanks that are within 1,000 feet of a public water well. If you have received notification by the Water Board that you fall into this category, contact CGRS California today.
Pre-Backfill Testing Services for Fuel Systems
It just makes sense to test an underground storage tank system before it is backfilled and covered up. Identifying the leak at this point during installation provides the opportunity for the leak to be repaired or replaced while it is accessible. This saves you costly repairs and possible downtime after your facility is complete. Once your retail facility is complete and prior to receiving fuel, the State of California requires a Final Certification Test. Call CGRS California to provide both tests.
Final Certification Testing a newly constructed facilities
The State of California requires that the underground storage tank system is tested by a state-approved testing system, such as the iota VaporTite™ testing system. Before fuel is delivered to the site and the owner opens for business, this test is the final test to ensure the system is vapor tight. Call CGRS California to provide this test.
Underground Leak Locations
Do you have a suspected leak at your site? Have you failed a monthly or annual compliance test, but cannot locate the leak in the system? CGRS California will provide the technology and expertise to identify the location of the leak without costly excavations of the site.
